Come with Me

You are here: Home » Come with Me
Captain Imperfecto at the helm

Come with me. To the far reaches of the ocean as we travel on a light breeze scurrying our bodies along the waters wake. The spray of the sea launches from the blue blanked and it accelerates into our face, but a light mist gently dances upon our skin.

Follow the aroma of the beach to travel to our never never land where we can find the shores of our new playground. Lets seek out our new adventures together as we untangle this thing called life. But lets not be afraid to fall in the sea where we may drown in our misery. But take a risk that we may float and survive the past as we travel into our unknown.

Come with me to a place where we can read and laugh and celebrate life while placing are feet in the sand and forming our own space where we can feel the warmth of the sun on our skin. The adventure is just beginning, my friends. But I need you to come with me, so we won’t be alone in this quest. Life was meant for 2 and here in this world of adventure we can learn from each other while realizing we aren’t so different in our life's’ problems.

Lets help each other as we learn and grow on the mainland before we travel out to sea. Let us realize that there are bigger things out there but help each other seek out our own adventures to forget about life for awhile.

If you can not fly above the deep blue sea then climb aboard the boat of Captain Imperfecto and travel on our next adventure in the safety of my hull. You’ve already been here with me before. You have already liked my blog or shared a story. You tweeted something meaning full and emailed me with wonderful stories of lifes hard lessons. You’ve seen the bad times and the good times and we have learned together.  But here, in our new place, we can  continue to learn together.

I am taking a chance. I put my cards on the table and decided to branch out before this thing we have, The Adventures of Captain Imperfecto, gets any bigger then it is. I took a chance on producing this website with support from great people with the risk that the ones who found me first, will be the last to come along, if they do at all. And those who knew me best will not follow along on my new site.

But I have to move over the mountain tops and play in the sea. This website is bigger than me now and I am humbled for all those who have decided to come with me this far. But will you continue?

Come with me, will you not? To life's great adventures. Lets understand life and what makes it work. Follow me to my new blog and lets appreciate each other and what er have today while looking forward to what can be tomorrow.

Come with me and lets inspire one and other with our triumphs and console each other in are failures.

Come with me and interact on the new website. Lets allow others to know they aren’t alone and that we can inspire each other to swim rather then sink.

Come with me as we grow and evolve into better people.

Come with me to my new place where the ocean is full of possibilities.

We are almost 10,000 people strong. Lets keep it going.

"Far Away"

You are here: Home » "Far Away" May 5th, 2012 For mommy in heaven… My kids wouldn't let me sleep last night. I kept them busy all afternoon and evening, yet they were still very hyper. I picked Nico up from school at 2:00 o'clock P.M. and decided to take them for a road trip to Broward County. It's a close drive from where we live. I am just one county over to the north. I didn't feel like going home and falling into the same routine. I wanted to stimulate the boys so that they would sleep later that night. Honestly, maybe we all could get some sleep that night. It's hard to get motivated in life when you are sleep-deprived. Nico leaves class about 10 minutes earlier than the rest of the school. Since he was a premature baby, he has had a learning delay with speech. The State of Florida placed him in a program called Early Steps. It's a great program, and it allows him to catch up to the rest of his peers academically so that by the time h...

Hi Mama. Bye Mama

You are here: Home » Hi Mama. Bye Mama. June 26, 2012 Hi mama. Bye, mama. And so it goes. Up the street, hi, mama, down the street, bye, mama. The boys know where they can find mommy. It's just down the road, a path we take every day. Everywhere we go. We go with the flow. Hi mama. Bye, mama. It always starts the same, the familiar path of the road the boys have become accustomed to. It doesn't matter what we do; we will always pass right on through; regardless of how we travel, mom will always be on their left or their right. She's never too far out of sight. Hi mama. Bye, mama. The boys anticipate the car ride. They look on either side as we drive by, seeking a clear view of their mama to be seen through. They eagerly await with no other thought on their plate. They are just waiting for the moment to see their number one visually. Hi mama. Bye, mama We are getting closer now; they look at Dad, their pal. Their smiles reach from ear to ear, knowing the time is near...

Anatomy of a Loss

You are here: Home » Anatomy of a Loss July 5, 2012 When you lose someone that you love and that you depend on, it feels like everything around you has just crashed and burned. It doesn't matter what is happening in the world because yours just got charred beyond recognition. You are forced to reprogram everything about you. Who you are. What your path in life was. The goals you had planned. Everything before the death of a loved one is scraped.  Your mind wanders about aimlessness, and you just go over your mind time and time again about how you will be able to do it. Where do you go from here? You are afraid and bewildered because you are unsure what to do and who to turn to. You find that you question God and yourself and examine everything about your life.  The doubts set in about yourself, and you want to return to the day before so badly just to reassure yourself that everything ...
